Things to help you start your internet business

internet marketing resources for your online business

When I was starting my online business, one of my mentors generously and gladly gave me a list of some of the resources that he uses for his internet marketing business.  And now, I am also sharing this list with you hoping that it will make things easier for you as it did with me.  I added quite a bit of stuff in this list.  You might not need some of it right now but it is always good to have for future reference … just in case.

Here are some of the basic resources that you will need when you are starting your own internet marketing business:

Web Hosting and Domain Registration

You need to choose your domain name and check if they are available.  Then you will have to register that and get your web hosting.  A domain name is like your physical address while a web hosting is a storage place for all of your data, just like your actual office.  I personally use Hostgator and Namecheap.  But you might want to check out some of the other sites to compare:

  1. Hostgator
  2. Namecheap
  3. GoDaddy
  4. Bluehost
  5. Hostmonster

Email Marketing

You will need an autoresponder.  An autoresponder is a tool that automatically sends a series of emails (that you had programmed) to your list or subscribers in order to maintain a relationship with them.  Here are some of the common ones:

  1. Aweber 30 Day Free Trial
  2. GetResponse 30 Day Free Trial
  3. Sendlane

Always remember to search for discounts/coupons and/or free trials before signing up.

Blogging Platforms

  2. Blogger
  3. Tumblr
  4. Squarespace
  5. Weebly

Squeeze Page/Landing Page

You can create squeeze pages or other forms with some of the autoresponders.  You might have to pay an additional fee for some of them.

  1. Instapage
  2. Leadpages
  3. Unbounce (free trial)

  1. Fotolia

Sometimes, especially when you are just starting out, doing some things can be so daunting.  But there is no need to worry.  Help is always at your fingertips.

  1. iWriter  –  iWriter is the place to go for your content requirements.  It is free to sign-up and you only pay when you are happy with the content that you received.
  2. Fiverr  –  At Fiverr, you can find solutions to your various online  needs for as low as $5.00.
  3. Upwork  –  There are so many jobs to choose from.  You can even find virtual assistants in this site.

If there is anything that I can be of help, do not hesitate to send me an email.

To your success!
